Like Sir Mix-a-lot. I seem to like big tails. How small a front wing can I go and still keep a 197 on the back?

here I am.

I don't mind a swim from time to time so I ride stupid small.
mid 30L boards, HA480, 50cm fuse, dart 120 or surf 130
sold my speed180 but kinda wishing I still had it to go with
UHA 570 in lighter winds.

wait on a gust...then don't drop off foil

All the best,
Hein

So Hein, it looks like your tail areas are generally 30% of your front wings.

Would you say that's a good rule of thumb?

That would mean I could (should?) pair my 270 tail with my 850.

Maybe it's the case that as your front wing size goes down, your tail to front wing ratio goes up?

Never considered tail to front foil as a ratio. Interesting and makes sense to me. I like the speed and maneuverability of smaller foils/tails and a short fuselage. Tighter turns in swell is more fun for me but does take some effort & aggressiveness.

Lose the fuselage, lose the stabilizer, lose the drag. Skate feel, super tight turns.

Triton T-1 for kites, and various X-1 models for light wind kiting or winging.

I don’t know if I’ve seen anybody trying mono foils with parawings.
